Numerical analysis of turbulent structure in compound meandering open channel by algebraic Reynolds stress model

The turbulent flow in a compound meandering channel with a rectangular cross section is one of the most complicated turbulent flows, because the flow behaviour is influenced by several kinds of forces, including centrifugal forces, pressure‐driven forces and shear stresses generated by momentum transfer between the main channel and the flood plain. Numerical analysis has been performed for the fully developed turbulent flow in a compound meandering open‐channel flow using an algebraic Reynolds stress model. The boundary‐fitted coordinate system is introduced as a method for coordinate transformation in order to set the boundary conditions along the complicated shape of the meandering open channel. The turbulence model consists of transport equations for turbulent energy and dissipation, in conjunction with an algebraic stress model based on the Reynolds stress transport equations. With reference to the pressure–strain term, we have made use of a modified pressure–strain term. The boundary condition of the fluctuating vertical velocity is set to zero not only for the free surface, but also for computational grid points next to the free surface, because experimental results have shown that the fluctuating vertical velocity approaches zero near the free surface. In order to examine the validity of the present numerical method and the turbulent model, the calculated results are compared with experimental data measured by laser Doppler anemometer. In addition, the compound meandering open channel is clarified somewhat based on the calculated results. As a result of the analysis, the present algebraic Reynolds stress model is shown to be able to reasonably predict the turbulent flow in a compound meandering open channel. Dynamics of the periodic type-K competitive Kolmogorov systems

For time-periodic dissipative and irreducible type-K competitive Kolmogorov systems, it is proved that there is a canonically defined countable family F of unordered, disjoint invariant sets with the property that, for every persistent trajectory whose ω-limit set is not a cycle, there exists a unique trajectory in some element of F such that these two trajectories are asymptotic and the corresponding points in these two trajectories are K-related.

The asymptotic behaviors of a stage-structured autonomous predator-prey system with time delay

In this paper, we consider an autonomous predator-prey Lotka-Volterra system in which individuals in the population may belong to one of two classes: the immatures and the matures, the age to maturity is represented by a time delay. By using eigenvalue analysis, principal term analyze method, reduction to absurdity, and iterative method, we obtain some simple conditions for global asymptotic stability of the unique positive equilibrium point. Moreover, a condition that the prey population in the system get extinction and the predator population in the system get permanence will be obtained. Meanwhile the theorems extend the corresponding conclusions in which there have no two stage structures.     

农户信用评估系统的设计与运用研究

农户信用评估的研究对推动农村消费信用的发展，促进农村经济良好运行十分重要。本在构造农户信用评估的指标体系的基础上，提出了农户信用评估神经网络模型的算法，利用实际搜集到的农户资料进一步建立了农户信用评估模型，继而构造了农户信用评估系统，并举例说明了该系统的实际运用，以期能为农村经济发展中的农户信用评价及相关研究提供一丝基础性启发。     

Gauss-Manin connections for arrangements, III Formal connections

We study the Gauss-Manin connection for the moduli space of an arrangement of complex hyperplanes in the cohomology of a complex rank one local system. We define formal Gauss-Manin connection matrices in the Aomoto complex and prove that, for all arrangements and all local systems, these formal connection matrices specialize to Gauss-Manin connection matrices.

Excess molar enthalpies of binary mixtures of 1-hexene with some cyclic and aromatic hydrocarbons at 298.15 K

Microcalorimetric measurements of excess molar enthalpies, at 298.15 K, are reported for the four binary systems formed by mixing 1-hexene with the cycloalkanes: cyclohexane and methylcyclohexane, and with the aromatic hydrocarcons: benzene and toluene. Smooth Redlich-Kister representations of the results are presented. It was found that the Liebermann-Fried model also provided good representations of the results.
